Logitech “Back-to-School & Tax Time” Display for Office Depot
Logitech was looking to garner a longstanding off-shelf display presence at Office Depot for their varying skus of mice & keyboards, in particular during the Back-to-School and Tax-time peak selling periods. The key to the success of this program would be to cut through the clutter on the very crowded office superstore retail floor to attract the customer from afar, as well as to allow them to engage with actual products featured on the display.
A permanent display made of wood and metal was originally ideated and proposed, but this option did not meet ROI requirements, as well the retailer would not forfeit valuable real estate to this product line year-round. Our design team quickly pivoted to a mixed material solution comprised primarily of corrugate paperboard materials, metal peg hooks, as well as an edge-lit neon acrylic that utilized nothing more than ambient store lighting to create a tabletop glow.
Two differing displays were then created based on a common chassis and universal components, that could be prepacked with varying products, as well as decorated with differing graphics specific to the (2) distinct promotional periods: Back-to-School, and Tax-time.
