As if it weren’t hard enough getting the bartender’s attention when you’re waiting at the end of the bar, Humble Baron, a music venue in Shelbyville, TN will open the world’s longest bar on March 23.
The bar, measuring 525 feet long, wraps around the stage, allowing patrons to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat, interact with the people around them, and enjoy the music on stage. It beats the previous record, held by Beer Barrel Saloon in Put-in-Bay, South Bass Island, Ohio, by 120 feet.
The bar program is designed with help from hospitality company Gin & Luck and will showcase spirits from Black-owned distilleries. Celebrity chef G. Garvin is putting together the restaurant’s menu.
Humble Baron is part of the Nearest Green Distillery, which is also home to the Welcome Center, Barrel House II BBQ, and Philo + Franks, the world’s first non-alcoholic speakeasy, among other venues. Read the full press release at VMSD.
